DIGITAL TWIN AND ASSET MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: THE METHODOLOGICAL APPROACH FOR MANAGING INFRASTRUCTURE NETWORKS

SINA, in partnership with Archimede Srl, has published an article in the online magazine INGENIO describing the activities that have been carried out for the pilot project on the integration between SINA’s current asset management system and the digital twin model of an asset.

The main objectives of the pilot project are the development of methodologies for the dynamic management of infrastructures, the planned management of the routine maintenance of highway bridges and the setting up of a BIM-oriented Bridge Management System (BMS) platform for determining predictive maintenance specifically for SINA and the concessionaires who are part of the ASTM Group.

The purpose of the pilot project consists in integrating SINA’s Asset Management System (AMS) – where the information is based on the SINA Asset Inspection System (SIOS) – and the digital twin model created by following the recommendations of BIM methodology while also bearing in mind the principles contained within the guidelines published by MIMS in 2020.

The pilot project was developed by using Microsoft Power BI, Vcad by Blogic, Autodesk Revit 2020 and Solibri Office to enable integration with AMS.
