SINA at RoadLCA 2026 in Palermo: Focus on Sustainability and Life Cycle Assessment

SINA is participating as a sponsor of RoadLCA 2026, the international conference dedicated to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) applied to road infrastructure, taking place in Palermo from September 30 to October 2, 2026.

The event represents an important opportunity for discussion on sustainability and the reduction of environmental impacts throughout the life cycle of infrastructure projects. In this context, SINA reaffirms its commitment to developing innovative solutions for engineering practices that increasingly address environmental concerns. The company is also present with an exhibition stand, serving as a meeting point for stakeholders and industry professionals.

As part of the technical program, SINA is presenting the paper “LCA of Bituminous Mixtures: Role of Binders, RAP and Innovative Additives in Reducing Climate-Changing Emissions”, authored by engineers Giulia Guzzini, Isabella Ottonelli and Andrea Lizzio. The paper examines the role of binders, recycled materials (RAP), and innovative additives in reducing greenhouse gas emissions from bituminous mixtures, highlighting how targeted design choices can contribute to the decarbonization of the road infrastructure sector.

Participation in RoadLCA 2026 strengthens dialogue with the scientific community and industry stakeholders, confirming SINA’s role as an active partner in promoting sustainable, low-environmental-impact infrastructure.
