28 Apr 2025 THE IMPORTANCE OF BIM “BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING” IN INFRASTRUCTURE ASSET MANAGEMENT
SINA manages with SIOS (Sina Works Inspection System) the assets of the ASTM Group through the use of digital models with the aim of expanding and integrating the use of BIM (Building Information Modeling) throughout the entire infrastructure life cycle from design to operation.
The creation of the “Digital Twin,” i.e., the digital representation of an asset, is a key activity to improve Asset Management operations, enabling the optimization of management and maintenance processes of works.
The “Digital Twins” and their link to the SIOS database enable the valorization of the assets of the Group’s Concessionaires and provide up-to-date information on the health status of the elements.
This provides a system capable of assessing and summarizing, including through appropriate thematization and visualizations of BIM models, the current state of conservation of the works and calculating their maintenance and/or restoration needs.
